Pixly

Last updated: May 5, 2026

Thank you for playing Pixly ("the App"), published by Fishtail Games ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Pixly is designed to run entirely on your device. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not transmit your personal information to our own servers.

Stored locally on your device only:

  • Your in-progress and completed puzzle data (which pixels you've colored).
  • App preferences (sound on/off, color-blind mode, difficulty selection, and similar settings).
  • Daily-puzzle history and gallery entries (saved completed artwork).
  • Optional time-lapse recordings of your painting sessions.
This data is held in your device's standard app storage (via shared_preferences and the device file system) and is removed when you uninstall Pixly or clear its data.

We do not collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or any account identifier.
  • Your contacts, photos library, calendar, microphone, or location.
  • Advertising identifiers (Pixly does not show third-party ads).

2. Permissions Pixly Uses

  • Storage / Files: to save your puzzle progress, gallery images, and time-lapse exports on your device.
  • Audio output: to play in-game sound effects (no microphone access).
  • Share sheet:when you tap "Share," your device's share sheet opens so you can send a finished image or time-lapse to an app of your choice. We do not see or receive what you share.

3. Sharing Your Artwork

When you choose to export or share a completed puzzle, the resulting image or video file is handed to your device's system share sheet. From that point, the receiving app (Messages, Photos, social apps, etc.) handles the file under its own privacy policy. We have no visibility into or control over that content.

4. Children's Privacy

Pixly is suitable for general audiences, including children. Because we do not collect personal information, the App complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and the EU GDPR's rules on children's data.

5. Third-Party Services

Pixly does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or social-login providers. The only third parties involved are:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store — they handle app distribution, purchases, and may collect their own diagnostic data under their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Security

Because your data lives only on your device, its security is governed by your device's protections (lock screen, OS sandboxing, encrypted storage). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can delete all data Pixly holds about you at any time by:

  • Clearing the App's data in your device settings, or
  • Uninstalling Pixly.
There is no separate request needed because we do not retain copies of your data on any server.

8. International Users

Pixly is offered globally. Since no personal data leaves your device, no cross-border transfer of your information occurs through the App itself.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we change how Pixly handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in Pixly's release notes.
